The IQPF’s Professional Training Course (PT Course) is a mandatory condition
in obtaining the financial planner diploma. It is the step that
follows academic training or its equivalent. The Professional Training Course consists of in-class and online sessions, supplemented with web modules, readings and exercises. It offers a synthesis of the knowledge already
acquired and provides the necessary methodology to apply this
knowledge to personal financial planning.
After completing the PT Course, candidates must take the IQPF exam.
Once the exam passed, the candidate is a graduate of the IQPF. To
use the Financial Planner title, a graduate must obtain a
certificate issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers.
The Professional Training Course is held twice a year, in the spring and fall.
