Academic Equivalency

Academic equivalency may be granted to people with a variety of combinations of university education, professional titles and professional experience. Some of these combinations require writing the IQPF equivalency exam, which is available at a 50% discount until September 1, 2023. Combinations that require writing the IQPF equivalency exam are marked with an asterisk.

• Master's degree with a concentration in financial planning
• CFP title + university education
• CPA, lawyer, notary*
• University education in administration, economics, law or actuarial science + two years of experience*
• C.Adm. with bachelor’s degree in administration, economics, law or actuarial science + two years of experience*
• Bachelor's or master's degree + certificate in financial planning and two years of experience*
• Recognized title and two certificates in administration, economics, law or actuarial science + two years of experience*
• University education + two years of experience
• Parcours intensif en gestion dans le contexte des entreprises de planification financière + three years of experience
