Executive Program

The IQPF executive program is comprised of six course modules that cover the various financial planning areas. Each module is 24 hours long and includes videos, readings, exercises and multiple-choice questions. Each module is followed by a three-hour in-class exam.

This program can be completed at your own pace, at the time and place of your choice, based on your availability. Please note that it is only available in French.

Modules of the executive program

The first three modules must be taken in order.

1. Legal aspects and succession
2. Taxation
3. Finances
4. Investment
5. Retirement planning
6. Insurance and risk management

Who is the executive program for?

This program is for people with a BA that is recognized in Québec as well as two years of experience in at least one financial planning area (legal aspects, insurance, finances, taxation, investment, retirement planning and succession).

How to apply

• Complete the application form found here
• Include the application and file analysis payment
• Enclose a certified copy of university diplomas or final transcripts
• Provide two sworn letters (affidavits) signed by two supervisors attesting to the applicant's experience. The letters must say that the applicant has had at least two years of experience in at least one financial planning area in the last five years. The letters must also describe the applicant's duties and responsibilities

Once you have completed the program

After completing the program, you will still have two steps to complete in order to receive the IQPF financial planning diploma:

• Take the professional training program (54 h)
• • The professional training program is offered twice a year, in spring and fall
• Pass the final exam (4 h)
• • The exam is held twice a year, in June and December
